A few years ago, the school district decided to build a performing arts center on a site that they had previously considered. The school district hired a firm to do a lot of the planning and design, and they had also done a construction bid. The school district had been looking for a way to use this site for years, and now it was finally time to start building. When the school district was ready to start construction, they started laying the foundation.
The first thing that stood out to me when I drove by the site was the fact that the building would be built right on top of the old baseball stadium. I think that in some ways I prefer these types of buildings in that they’re a bit more utilitarian, but one of the biggest problems with traditional buildings is that they don’t lend themselves well to artistic inspiration.
The ualbany performing arts center will be a massive addition to the area. The project will include a performing arts center, several classrooms, and a rec center. The site was already part of a former baseball stadium and it seems like the entire site is going to be part of a new multi-purpose building. I love the idea of this new addition since it will provide a much needed green space for a neighborhood that is struggling with the loss of the baseball stadium.
The previous site of the ualbany was a baseball stadium. This time around I can see the new addition being a great addition to the area since it will help increase the number of residents who are able to live in the area. Plus it will help the neighborhood in general.

This is just one of those things that is so good (and so old) that it’s just hard to believe how good it has been. It’s really great that the team came back with a new stadium after a couple of years of struggling with their facilities.
