This provides advantages in terms of security because there are more people looking at the software before release – something that does not happen with proprietary solutions. It also means that any bugs or flaws can easily be corrected by making a change to the original code rather than waiting for a company’s development team to issue new updates. And finally, due to open distribution, many different applications can use this same program–something which makes interoperability much easier!
