The Las Vegas Arts Institute (LVAI) is an innovative arts incubator with the goal of connecting artists and creative thinkers to a diverse community while creating job-creating opportunities. LVAI brings together young artists and producers with the mission to discover creative careers and create positive change in the community.
In the beginning, LVAI was designed to help artists launch their careers, but they seem to have now expanded into a much broader arts incubator. Their mission is to help people in the arts to discover their own creative potential. And yes, that means the artists there are getting jobs. Not only that, but they’re also creating jobs for the arts staff and the community.
The people you can meet there are also very creative. They created a website that helps artists launch their careers but also give a glimpse into their creative process. In fact, it’s so cool they want to make it available everywhere. And if you go there and like the idea of working for an arts incubator, you can apply here. Or if you already work in the arts, there is a job board and a facebook group.
It sounds like you might be missing out entirely if you don’t check out the website and/or the group. But I’ve heard that the group already has over 1,500 members who are all already working in the arts. So there are plenty of arts jobs that you can apply for at the arts institute.
It’s a great location to work, lots of events, lots of artsy shops, and the fact that it’s near the Las Vegas airport makes it easy to get around.
