If you are going to be in business for yourself, then you have to understand that your actions have consequences for those around you. You may be the person who is always making the big decisions and pushing things to the ‘next level’, or you may be the person who just keeps an eye out for the little things that come up. Either way, you have to be responsible to your coworkers, customers, employees, partners, etc.
People who make decisions for themselves usually do so with an eye on the broader picture, so it’s not a surprise that when a businesswoman is discovered in the company’s office, no one wants the blame to fall on the woman herself.
After you’ve worked your way through your day, you’re going to be the one who is looking for a new job. If you weren’t just starting out, you may have found the right job, but it’s probably going to be a long hard drive to fill.
There are a number of things that can happen to a person when theyre on a new job, but this is the one that can have the most long-term impact: If you dont take care of your office space, youre going to end up with a lot of messy space. If youre running a business thats all about money, youll be putting money in your office, and youll end up with more messy space.
Its funny you say that because my best friend, the person I love the most, is also a newbie. She recently moved from Colorado into a small apartment with her boyfriend and a friend. They were looking for a place close to work and within walking distance of their day job. They moved out of the city at the beginning of last year so they could work closer to home, but they still have a lot of driving to do every day.
But youll probably be using your credit card again, and this time around, youll be keeping in touch with the bank as well.
The bank is a fantastic place to work, but I’m really not sure how I will manage to get back out there. The next time I meet a bank person, I think they will be more helpful and I’ll give them a call. But once in the car I can tell they are not going to be able to help me. I don’t really have the heart to tell them to stay away from the bank when I’m at home either, so I won’t.
My bank has become a much easier place to work since I moved. I can go there and walk around and get some basic banking info without them being concerned I’ll steal it. Now Im not saying that I’m going to be doing that a lot of the time, as I’ll likely be doing more than just using the ATM at the place I work. But I do see the importance of the bank to me.
I do appreciate that. But I dont like the bank. And I don’t really want to be the one that tries to keep me out.
But I am also a business woman.
