Fresno County Sheriff, Margaret Mims Elected to National Sheriffs Association Board of Directors On Tuesday March 13th at a meeting held in Washington D.C., FCSO deputy Margaret Mims was elected as Vice Chair for the National Sheriffs Association’s board of directors. This is a great accomplishment and honor that our department will be proud to have her represent us on this prestigious organization. She joins three other former sheriffs from California who serve as members-at-large: Terry Eagan (Sacramento), Don Haidl (San Diego) and Bill Brown (Los Angeles). The association represents about 20 percent of all law enforcement agencies nationwide with more than 30 member counties providing coverage to more than 200 million people.

Fresno County Sheriff, Margaret Mims Elected to National Sheriffs Association Board of Directors For the past four years Fresno County has been represented on the board by former sheriff Mike Boudreaux who retired in 2018 after 25 years with the department and now joined a private consulting firm as an advisor for law enforcement agencies looking to improve their operational efficiency. As deputy Mims becomes vice-chair she will be responsible for leading meetings, set agendas, establish position papers and represent FCSO’s interests at national conferences among other responsibilities that are expected from her office. “I am honored,” said Deputy Mims when asked about her new role. “Being elected Vice Chair is yet
