We love wood cubes so much that we’re convinced they’re the only way to build furniture without a saw. It’s true! You can cut the wood to any size you want and without the hassle of sawing, sanding and re-sawing it. The surface of the cube is covered with a wood veneer that can be sanded to a perfect finish for your project.

Instead, wood cube crafts are an easy way to make a pretty cool-looking piece of furniture out of wood. And not just any wood. In this case the wood is alder. The reason is that alder does not have the natural grain of wooden furniture, making it difficult to sand or re-saw. This makes wood cube crafts a great way to make beautiful pieces of furniture that will not make your project look dated.
