With a passion for the performing arts, I often find myself taking classes that are more than just a way to pay for school. Now that I’m in my early 20s and working full-time, this keeps me occupied and I love it. I’ve been the lead dancer in an entire stage production every year since I was in high school.
So, Ive been dancing in a lot of theater productions that have put me on stage in front of hundreds of people, and I’ve always been great at it. Because I had a pretty normal childhood, I always had the confidence that I could do it. When I was younger I always felt like I could do anything that I wanted to do — and that’s also why I still enjoy it.
I have a few dancing friends that have been through my theater productions. They always tell me that I look like I should be dancing on a stage in front of hundreds of people. Ive always said in my head that it’s because I’m a dancer. They always laugh and say, “Ah, you just got to be the weird one.” Yeah, but I have a pretty big heart I think.
Some of you may be wondering what the weird one actually refers to. Well, if you say, “He’s not really that weird,” everyone will assume you just want to be the weird one. Maybe you just want to be the strange girl. There’s nothing wrong with that actually. All I’m saying is that if you can be the weird one you’re probably doing something right.
Most people are definitely not the weird one, though. This is where Im getting a little bit off topic. If it were just about getting to be the odd one, then you could have said it to any of the dancers. But actually being the weird one is quite the opposite. The dancers all want to be the weird one. They’re doing it because they love it. They’re not just being weird. A lot of the dancers are actually pretty normal. They’re just dancing.
This is the reason why some of them are so good at their craft; theyre so in tune with what theyre doing. Theyre so aware of the physical and mental space theyre in. They know how to dance with the right body position, the right music, the right timing, and the right steps. Theyre aware of the space of the space around them as well. This is the secret to their success.

I am a huge fan of their works, and when I’m not dancing or watching some of their videos, I am also a huge fan of the company. It’s the same reason I like to explore some of the other arts I’ve mentioned in this article. So I guess when I say I love wintergreen’s videos it’s because I am a huge fan of the company, as well.
Wintergreens is the same company who make the music for the movie, The Wintergreen. The movie was the first time in history that a dance company was filmed live on the beach. You should definitely check out their videos to see them perform and maybe see a few of them perform with your favorite dancers.
