The Va Arts Festival is the biggest art festival in the South for a reason. The festival is a two day event that features over 50 different art galleries and art schools from the area, and the food vendors are so delicious that it is hard to put a finger on why this festival is so popular.
The Va Arts Festival is a great way for anyone to get out of the city and get some quality art without having to stay inside. It’s not just artists that come to the festival, but also artists from nearby towns who get to come and get some quality art without having to leave their homes.
This is actually the first “art festival” that I’m aware of. A few years ago, I took my wife to the annual Art Festival in New York. It was a great way to spend a two day weekend, but now I’ve heard that Virginia’s own Va Arts Festival has grown into a more organized event.
It turns out the same thing is happening in Virginia. The festival was founded in 2006 by the city of Richmond and a group of Virginia artists. Since then it’s gotten bigger and bigger, with over 150 Virginia artists showing their works. Most of the artists that showed at the Richmond events were either self-described “artists” or art students.
The organizers of the event claim that they are working on a website for the festival and that it will have a video of the Richmond event. We hope that it will be that and more. In the meantime, we’re making a new video of the festival, so check it out at vaaarts.org.
The Va arts festival’s organizers were very clear to all of us that they are very very much in charge of the festival-as-a-whole. They are responsible for selecting the artists and venues, and they set the prices and the schedule of events. The Va arts festival is hosted by the Virginia Arts Council, which is also responsible for the overall operation and funding of the festival.
Since we’re talking about the Va arts festival, there’s no question that it needs to be a great event. There’s plenty of competition, and the music and arts in general in the Commonwealth are some of the most beautiful and diverse in the country. And the Commonwealth of Virginia is a great place to bring all these artists together. I have to say though that I really wish the organizers would have stuck with a fixed date for the festival.
I think the Commonwealth of Virginia has a lot of potential. But it just might not be what it could be without some serious focus and commitment. I’m not saying we can’t make it an amazing event. I’m saying that if we don’t get some serious commitment there from the organizers, we won’t have many options left to show for our efforts.
Im not sure if we’re talking about the Virginia Arts Festival or the Virginia Music Festival. But regardless, I do think Virginia needs some serious commitment and I hope it doesn’t just fall apart.
I think we all know how the Virginia Arts Festival has gone so far. The Virginia Music Festival is a much better representation of what we as a community and state could do if we actually dedicated some thought and resources to it. However, Virginia’s Arts Festival has only been around for about a year, and the previous year the organizers were focused on something else.
