I don’t see the whole book industry as the best part of the book. I think that the whole thing is, and it’s a very effective tool. As a graphic designer myself, I know how hard it is to get a book into the hands of a reader. I think it’s because the marketing is so difficult and time-consuming that it’s easy to believe that the best way is to just do this one small thing, and then wait for the book to sell itself.
