I have spent a lot of time over the years building totem poles in my back yard. I had never actually gotten around to building an actual structure for them in my yard until this spring.
Totem poles are a great way to get wood, concrete, and paint in the same place at the same time. Just make sure that you get the right sort of poles, since many of them are just poles with some sort of wood or metal on them. I recently found a really nice, easy-to-make pole that I thought might work well.
The poles I made were of oak, and the wood was from the woods around my home in rural western Virginia. I used a round bar, that was about 4 to 6 inches wide and 2 to 3 inches deep. The tree I used was a 3- to 4-year-old tree, and the whole thing was about 5 to 6 feet tall. I made the tree, and the poles, in about two days.
I’m a big fan of all sorts of different crafts, and I’ve been making them for awhile. And I’ve been thinking I should try making a different type of pole. This wood is different, so I can’t use the same bar as I did, but I’ve thought about different kinds of poles. The poles I’m thinking about are more like an art installation. They’re just poles that are shaped from different wood, and their shapes are meant to evoke other different things.
I know you’re going to say that it’s just a matter of making the poles, and I really wanted to share the idea of making art with you. I think you’ll find that it’s much more than that. Making a pole is a lot of work, and it requires a lot of creativity, so I recommend that you don’t try this at home. You might find that you don’t enjoy it, or you might find it too hard.
It may not be right for you, but it is hard to resist using poles as a way to build something. A lot of people are intimidated by them, but a lot of us have found that it can be exciting to make things with them. It’s a more tangible way to make art, and it is something you can take with you. It’s a great way to learn a new skill.
The art of making poles is pretty easy to learn. I can teach you how to do this at home, too. I know, it is not difficult, but it is simple. I say this because one of my biggest fears with making these crafts is that they would be done by a person who was not actually creative. I am not saying that you can never make a totem pole. You can. You just need to learn how to do it fast.
I do all the work on the pole myself. I have a few poles made in the past, but mostly just a really simple pole made in 4″ square pieces. Once I have the top and the base made, I make the smaller pole in the same way. Using a compass and a drill, I drill holes through the poles to determine the exact dimensions for the top and bottom, adding some filler material where necessary.
I was really excited about the pole I made in a few minutes, but it wasn’t particularly beautiful. I used the same basic poles as the ones in the trailer, but I didn’t make them with white paint. The poles are actually made of white plastic, which makes them super shiny.
