The first time I took a trip out of the country, it was to visit my mother in the middle of the night when she would have a stroke. I was 18 years old and this was the first time I had ever been to my mother’s bedside. My mother was 93 years old and could still hear me say “Oh, Mommy, I’m sorry. I’m so sorry”. This experience opened my eyes.
When people say they are “doing well” in their career, it seems to me that they are doing a lot more than that. In fact, if they are doing well, they are doing a ton of things that the average person does not think about or take the time to be aware of. For instance, we look at a CEO of a company and think, “Oh, she is doing a lot of things.
To be honest, I never thought about it like that. I have a job that I do and I have to do a lot of things. In fact, I do more than my job. I am the one that is paid to do the job, so I always have to have a job.
But, if we think about it, CEOs are the ones who make decisions for the company. If they are making decisions, they are making decisions that affect their customers. As a result, they have to make sure they are doing things right. This is why it is usually a good idea to talk to your boss and ask for their honest opinion.
I remember when I first started working in the construction industry I had to spend a lot of time talking to my boss about why he was doing what he was doing. I remember him telling me that he had a very strict time schedule that he had to stick to. I know that sounds bad, but if he knew that I was trying to break that rule, I could not have gotten ahead in my career.
He also told me that his job was not a “family business”. I knew this was a big deal because I have always been in the construction business and I just assumed that I had to work as hard as everyone else.
