In this post on my blog, I have shared about why I am doing the art show at the southern vermont arts center. If you are interested in hearing more about the art, I also have some posts on my blog about the history of the arts center, and some posts about the art show called “Art Is an Act of Love”.
For those of us who are more interested in how art can be a manifestation of positive feelings, we should probably check out the art show. It’s an opportunity to share our love of art with other people, and also to share our love of art with the people who love it too.
It is an opportunity. I’ll definitely check it out. I’m also excited to see what other art I can find interesting and of course to post what I find interesting here.
Well, that is the most obvious reason.
The Arts Is an Act of Love event is hosted by New York City’s southern vermont art center. The building, located at 2124 South Broadway, is the former site of the former Southern Vermont School. It is now home to the arts center’s art exhibitions and events. These days it is home to the arts center’s annual art show, Southern Vermont Art Fair, and the art school’s annual art show, American Vermilion.
Well, it is a very nice building, complete with a lovely setting and its own park-like setting. And, yes, it’s lovely.
The Southern Vermont Art Fair and the art school are just two of a dozen art fairs across the nation that hold their annual events in southern Vermont. The Southern Vermont Arts Fair, however, is the only one which has a focus on art in schools, and that is where I got my first clue that this year’s show has a pretty impressive lineup of artists and exhibits.
With its focus on art in schools, this year’s fair is also the only one where there are classes in visual art and painting for kids. That’s a pretty big deal for Vermont, which has a number of artists who are recognized nationally for their work as well as those who are just making their mark locally. Vermont has a rich history of art, and it is still growing.
Its history of art has been enriched by the many artists who have traveled the country to teach in schools, and for local artists this show is the only opportunity to show in the state. It is also a chance to meet up with some of the artists who have exhibited at our show in the past. This might be the best way to see artists in Vermont.
Although I’m sure you’ve heard the term before, there is a lot more to art than just the paintings and sculptures you see displayed at art exhibits. The art of Vermont is an evolving thing. Artists have been coming here for so long that there is a wide spectrum of ideas and styles. Some artists are interested in traditional forms, others like to experiment with new techniques. There is a lot of innovation and creativity happening in Vermont right now.
