Well this is a big one, because there are actually a lot of mesh tube crafts kits on sale. All you need is a mesh tube, a drill, a glue gun, a needle, a glue stick, and a pair of scissors. So go ahead and start your own mesh tube craft project.
If you don’t have one of the mesh tubes we recommend, you can make do with some old materials and a couple of tools. You can use any drill, however, and you can use anything you can get your hands on, including old string, yarn, cardboard, and even old credit cards. Just remember to always use the glue gun and have a needle handy. And remember that you can always make your own glue.
Glue gun. Needle. Glue stick. A needle is a blunt pencil or pointed tool that you can use to push glue onto stuff. Needles come in a variety of sizes and colors, so you can create a lot of different designs. You can also use a glue stick to apply glue, but it’s usually a lot easier to just use a glue gun.
It was a little surprising to find out that a glue gun is actually one of the most common tools for constructing mesh tubes, but it doesn’t have to be. There are many other glue guns out there, especially ones that have a variety of colors you can mix and match. The downside to this is that you have to make sure you don’t pour too much glue onto the glue gun, as it will be too thick and probably won’t stick.
You can also turn a standard glue gun into a screw gun! It isn’t a very good idea to pour too much glue into it, so you have to add this extra step if you want to make a tube with a glue gun. A screw gun is a much better choice, as the glue is much thinner and sticks much better to the mesh if you use it.
Now for the most important part… making those tube crafts. We have created a few tube-art projects using the mesh tube crafting system, which is pretty awesome, especially if you’re a novice. But for the most part, you have to be careful and have a good understanding of the mesh tube stuff. It is not as easy as you think, and even if you know what you are doing it can still surprise you. But once you get the hang of it, it is really fun.
The mesh tube systems are basically mesh-stitch tubes that are 3mm in diameter and 1.5mm in thickness with a “mesh” covering the entire interior. You use it for objects that are too small to be made with real-world materials and are much thicker than tubes. We built a few of these for our own projects. Its a much easier and more fun way to create a more complicated design than using fabric threads.
That said, it will not work for anything with stretch or curves that won’t fit in the tube. The stretch and curves are a result of the tube being made from a stretched mesh, rather than materials with stretch.
