It is a well-known fact that our businesses do not exist in isolation. We are interconnected not only through our marketing departments and sales organizations but through our suppliers, customers, and the many ways we interact.
What we’re trying to accomplish here is to create a company that is one-size-fits-all and can easily be scaled up in its current, and growing, size. We don’t want to get stuck in the same place as the rest of the world if we don’t want to.
I’m not sure we quite got it.
Yeah, this is sort of a funny statement because businesses are actually not just one-size-fits-all. The reason they are so successful is because they leverage their scale. That is, a smaller business can focus on a smaller geographical area. A larger one can focus on a larger geographical area. Because a smaller business can focus on a smaller geographical area, it can get more in touch with its customers.
This is true. A smaller business can get more of its customers into the shop. A larger one can get the customers out to do more business with it.
Most people think of a shop as basically a retail space, but a shop can also be an online storefront. Many businesses create websites, which are digital storefronts for their respective businesses.
