James Taylor PNC Bank Arts Center is a beautiful and historic building, with a large foyer, a courtyard, and two beautiful lobbies. The building itself is on the National Historic Register.
This museum is also located in the heart of downtown, right across the street from the PNC Bank. While there, I had a chance to take a tour of the bank, which has one of the largest banks in the state. On the way, I stopped to take a selfie with the lovely statue of a woman that stands in the lobby. It’s not the most flattering photo, but it’s something worth remembering.
The museum is open 10:00 am to 4:00 pm Monday through Friday. Saturdays and Sundays 10:00 am to 3:00 pm. Admission is free.
At the bank, I spotted my reflection in a window. I took some pictures of it.
For people who are just starting out in the world of art and photography, this museum is just about the most important place you could possibly be. It’s the place to go to learn everything you need to know about the different art forms of photography.
Like the museum, the bank also is open 1000 am to 400 pm Monday through Friday. Saturdays and Sundays 1000 am to 300 pm. Admission is free. And it has quite a few art galleries to see. As we were visiting yesterday, we headed over to the Fine Art Gallery.
This gallery is a bit odd. It’s not actually owned by the bank, but rather an institution that does all sorts of cool things for the public and then makes a lot of money doing it. It’s called “The New York Public Library,” and it’s really the only public library in the country by far where people don’t have to pay to get anywhere.
That’s because the artwork is not the only thing on display, it’s actually the only thing on display. It’s a bit weird since this is a public library, and most libraries have a lot more art on display than just a few paintings. But in this case, it’s even more weird since art is the least of the art on display. It’s the artwork that makes the museum a cool place, and that’s not something you see very often in public libraries.
Well, we can say that its public because the library is a public library, and its a public library because many patrons of the library have paid to be there. Like if you pay $1 for a tour, you’re part of the “public”. But its not the art that makes it a public library. Its the art that makes the museum a cool place. Its the art that makes the museum a cool place.
That’s right. As the library is a public institution, its art is on display to the public. And as the art on display to the public is not the art the library is exhibiting, it’s not the art that makes the library a cool place. Its the art that makes the book display a cool place.
