I believe that exercise should be a fun, rewarding endeavor and not a chore. I have a great body and I feel great when I exercise, but if I didn’t, I wouldn’t feel like I was working out. The opposite is also true. To be able to exercise, it takes practice. I’d rather get the workout I need and do it consistently than have a workout and then not do it.
The thing is, exercise has to be fun. In the same way that eating a good meal and enjoying a good cup of coffee is not the same thing as having a good workout. You need to find something you like doing, and something enjoyable. The most enjoyable exercise is one you can do consistently.
I think most people are in the habit of just doing whatever they feel like. It’s no big deal. I know I’m one of them. Well, I’m always one of them, so I’m not really a big deal. It’s just that I have a habit of just being lazy at certain times of the day. Like at work.
The problem with laziness is that you can’t really control it. If you’re a person who hates to put in the time, you can’t really control your attitude. If you’re a person who hates to exercise, you can’t really control how you feel about the exercise. If you’re a person who hates to exercise, the only thing you can do is change your attitude.
Im not in that category. I have a lazy streak, but its not a bad thing to have. But my laziness is a result of my exercise habits. I am a person who loves to exercise. If I had a bad attitude when I was running, or if I was lazy all the time, I wouldn’t be able to enjoy the exercise. But since I am a person who loves to exercise, my laziness is a direct result of the very exercise I hate to do.
