What we’re looking at here is a kid who can learn to be extremely deadly, and is even capable of actually killing people. And it’s not because hes trying to protect the people he loves or his family.
The movie is really about the kid. It’s about his life and his choices. Its not really about him. Its about the kid getting good at martial arts. But what’s not really clear is if he actually made a choice to become a martial artist. I feel like most of the movies I’ve seen are more about the kid choosing to become a martial artist than he actually doing it himself. It’s a little misleading for the movie, as I feel its more like the kid’s choice.
