I don’t know about you, but I’ve been training for years, and I’ve come to the realization that all the talk about martial arts and self-defense is just talk. Even though I’m a trained martial artist, I still spend a good deal of time thinking about it. But that’s not what I’m going to discuss today.
David Lees Roth, the guy who founded the Roth Martial Arts Academy in Los Angeles, California, has been training his students for the past 30 years. He teaches a system of martial arts that focuses on “total body work.” But a huge part of it is “thinking out of the box” to give the student the best chance of success. In a sense, it is like a combination of football and chess, but with more emphasis on strategy.
The system is based on the idea that the most important thing to focus on is the body. Your balance, your tone, your posture. How you hold yourself, what your posture says about you. And as you work out, you will learn to develop a more consistent strength.
This is very much a work in progress, but it is my intention to teach each and every student at the end of every class. My hope is that this will allow the students to grow and improve themselves, while also helping to keep new students from falling into the trap of being totally unprepared.
David Lee Roth, one of the best teachers in the world, was a friend of mine, and one of the best martial arts teachers I ever had. He really helped me to develop as a person. When I left the teaching profession, I went to the gym and started working out, but I had no idea how to do it.
David was one of the first people I knew well outside of my family and that made all the difference. He was always encouraging and helpful, always willing to take the time to show me how to do certain movements or techniques. He was also always willing to help me grow as a person.
David was recently diagnosed with non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma, and his treatment is very intense. He is a great example of how difficult it is to be in a wheelchair for long periods of time. In the midst of all his treatments, he still continues to be very fit and motivated. He is also a very strong believer in the martial arts. He is a member of the martial arts association and has many of his own classes and tournaments.
David teaches classes in both Taekwondo and Muay Thai and is a member of the Muay Thai association as well. He is also a member of the Tae Kwon Do association too. He has many friends in both martial arts associations and in other martial arts organizations.
David is actually a very strong believer in the martial arts and is a very good fighter. He does some pretty good stuff and he is very motivated to continue to be good. He is incredibly good at his fighting skills.
He is actually a really good fighter, but he is also just a really good person. He has a lot of good things going for him and he really enjoys the fact that he can bring happiness and joy to others. He is a lot of fun to be around and he also seems to enjoy the fact that he is well known by his friends and family. He is a really nice guy and I can tell he is a really good martial arts instructor.
