Cuomo’s favorite city is San Francisco. Since he’s been mayor he’s made a concerted effort to bring the arts scene there into the forefront of the city’s cultural life. He’s made it clear that he wants to promote the arts, and he’s made a lot of connections to the arts community.
There are quite a few arts organizations in the world and even within San Francisco itself. He’s made a lot of connections with them and even invited some of them to his inauguration. He’s also been known to speak at the Art Institute of Chicago and other events.
This seems like a good way to help the arts community be more involved in the citys cultural life.
And since a lot of cultural organizations make money off of the arts, it makes sense they’d want to do more to help. The Arts Council of Chicago is currently in the process of seeking to raise $15 million to build a new building for the arts in Chicago.
