There are no seats in the lobby, so you’re either walking through someone else’s office or waiting for a friend to finish up a few things. There is a few “open” areas throughout, but they feel like they are in a museum rather than a real workplace.
One of the things I hate about the Arts Center is its location. I’m not talking about the fact that it’s in a state park, but rather that it sits right in the middle of everything. From the moment I stepped into the lobby it immediately felt as if I was in a museum rather than a commercial space. I would go back to that lobby and there are no seats to be found.
I think that this type of location can be really confusing for visitors, especially if they have never been to the Arts Center. The building itself is beautiful, but the small, open rooms feel more like an art gallery than a business.
