I get asked a lot about business management, and I usually respond with, “The more I do it, the more I know it’s good for me.” It’s true, I know it’s good for me. So, I usually try to remind myself that it’s good for me to do what I’m already doing.
Sometimes I can forget that I’m doing what’s good for me. I tend to think I’m already doing things that are good for me. But its easy to forget when I’m out of my own head.
I don’t think its very easy when Im watching a game. Im watching a game, Im watching its way through, Im watching it all. Its not easy to forget. I’m almost always thinking Im doing something I know Im doing, and Im not doing what Im supposed Im doing.
In business management, this kind of forgetting happens when we are in a hurry. If you have a meeting with a prospective client, and you are only a few minutes late, you are probably not even thinking about how to do your presentation. We are often distracted by the flow of things. In the end business manager gets a lot of what he needs from other people. We are probably not thinking about the flow of things. The thing that is really annoying about this whole video is that the people in the video don’t know what the client is doing. They’re just hanging out with friends on the beach. So it’s really difficult to know what is going on.
You need to take your presentation seriously. Everyone has a different style and needs to learn what you do, but the key is to make sure you understand what the other person needs and why he needs it. You don’t need to repeat what you just said all the way through. If it is boring or you are not providing enough information, just say it. Avoid words like “you” or “your” unless you want to get in trouble.
The first thing you should do is take your presentation in a slightly more serious tone. You should speak as if you are giving them your very best and most complete presentation in the world. By being serious, you should find it difficult to give them the impression that you are a complete idiot. Instead, you should be able to communicate your ideas and information in a way that makes them appear more intelligent and knowledgeable.
When you tell them how to do something, you should tell them in a way that shows that you are trying to help them accomplish their goal. By being funny, you should make it look as though they are doing something just as good as you, while you are still trying to show that you aren’t a total idiot.
For example, if you want to tell a client that you are going to build a complex piece of furniture, you should say, “I am going to build a complex piece of furniture.
The first time this happened, I was pretty shocked. It looked like I had just lost my mind. I didn’t know what to say. I didn’t have a clue what the client was going to ask. But by the time I got to the part about the complex piece of furniture, I was more than happy I had been so helpful.
