When we talk to our customers about our business, they often give us a different angle than before, but I think that is the most effective one. The point is because it helps you to have a sense of what your customers want, and you know that if you can make them feel that way, you can have that “self-worth going” that they really want.
The Japanese phrase for this is “kuroyashii”, which roughly translates to “to feel as if you are a boss or captain.” It’s a feeling that arises in the mind when a person feels superior to others, when they think that they can always get what they want, and, most importantly, when they see their friends as nothing more than subordinates.
This may sound trite, but it’s not. There’s a lot of books out there that talk about the importance of having the self-worth you want going in your business life. In business, this is often called “getting respect.” When you feel like you are getting respect from your customers, you feel like you are having the self-worth you want. This is what it is like to be a leader in the book above.
This is a very powerful concept, but it’s important to note that it isn’t just books. At a very basic level, the self-esteem that you want in your leadership role is just as important as the skills you want. People have the ability to see you for the person that you are. And if you are acting as a leader, you have to treat others with respect whether you are the one who is leading the team or the one who has the job title.
Leadership is about showing that you care about the team, the company, and the people that you lead. And if it feels good to be a leader, it will feel the same way to other people. That is why people are leaders.
People who are leaders are more likely to be respected, respected to be leaders, and respected to be respected. And that’s just as true when someone is leading a team, as it is when she’s leading a personal life. If people are treating you as a leader, they will treat you that way whether you are the one leading the team or the one who has the job title.
When someone is a leader, everyone around them has to treat them that way, too. It’s kind of a byproduct of being a leader, as well as of being the leader of a team. Everyone in the team has to follow that lead, and they also have to accept that as a good thing. If you don’t have the power to make others leaders, you can’t expect to have much power over people who are leading a team.
I was talking to someone the other day who told me that they thought that business japanese were a bit of a cult. It seemed to me that they were like the monks of the temple in the film “Rider”.
Good point.
Business japanese are a bit like the monks of the temple in the film, as they lead teams of other people in a group setting. Their leader is the head monk, and he leads monks, or is at least the dominant player within the group.
