I’ve been an assistant instructor for a few years now to many businesses. I’ve taught everything from basic accounting, to personal finance, to marketing, to project management, to public relations, to all aspects of business. I have coached multiple businesses and industries, from small businesses to well funded multi-national corporations. I’ve taught many business owners how to be successful in their own businesses and have helped them to understand how to grow their businesses.
Although the subject matter is business, I think its fair to say that the subject matter of this podcast is what keeps me awake at night. I’ve had the chance to sit down with a lot of business owners recently, and I have found that their stories are no different than mine. I’ve had the pleasure of coaching many business owners, and I’ve found that they are the same people who are so passionate about their work.
I personally am a business instructor because I think business is a really good reason to learn something new. Ive also been to a few business lectures (and really, there is nothing like a lecture) and I think Ive helped a lot of people get off the ground and get their businesses off the ground.
I’ve been to business lectures that were more like a seminar, and the people who were with me were all business teachers. If you’re going to be a professional, you have to be able to speak and connect with people. The people I’ve been with are all genuinely passionate about their work and not so concerned with making a sale.
That passion is what makes you a professional, so there is nothing like a lecture. In fact, the first time you sit down to speak to a group of people is probably one of your most nerve-wracking moments. You will have to figure out how to get them to pay attention to you, to relate to you, and to learn from you.
The worst thing you can do is try to make a sale and then leave. People will only listen to you if you have something of value to say. The best thing you can do is listen carefully to what they have to say and then take what they have to say as a way to improve. It’s also helpful to learn how to speak to a group of people who are not salespeople.
If you need a salesperson, you should probably go to a different field. You should be a business instructor. Business instructors are the people who are in charge of teaching people how to sell. They teach people how to learn how to sell and help people to become successful sellers.
