The Colorado College of Art & Design is the newest and largest campus for the arts in the state of Colorado. I’m a huge fan of the school, and the fact that they have had a few recent renovations, and added a new addition to the complex.
The renovation of the Colorado College of Art amp Design complex has been going on for about four years. The original complex had two buildings, a large theater and an art gallery, an art museum, and a small cafe. The new addition of the complex was the second building. The theater was the original one, and included a few of the same gallery exhibits as the previous building. The art museum was a new addition which made it the smallest, most modern building on campus.
I am glad to see the college has finally got a new space that will serve its purpose. I think it’s a shame that the original building was demolished, but I also think that it was unfortunate that the new one was built in the same design. The new complex is a big improvement and I hope it continues to serve its original purpose.
This building is actually a former art school. It was the original building that housed the art museum, so it’s a little hard to tell where the school ended and the art museum began. The building also has a new name, as the art school’s name is now called the Arts Institute.

The school was in the process of moving to a bigger space, when it was renamed the Arts Institute. I think it would have been more appropriate to name it the Art Institute, as it’s a bit more specific.
The name change is just confusing. I like that it didn’t change the name to “art school,” as that is a really common name in the U.S, but I think it would have been better to stick with Arts.
I would expect that the name change will confuse students a bit, and that the Arts Institute will be the first to be renamed. As long as the name stays the same, however, I think it will be great. We are not here to change everyone’s perspective, but to change one student’s as well.
The color change of the name is more complicated. In the U.S. it is generally accepted that a school should change its name every 5-10 years. In the case of the Arts Institute it was originally named the Colorado School of Art and Design. However, in the case of the arts institute, its been around for longer than that and they chose to change it to a more palatable, less ominous sounding name.
Not much else to say here, but I like the new name. It seems more fitting for the institute, which is a place for art students to learn about art. I am sure that the new name will be used for the next one.
I don’t know about you, but I’ve always been a fan of the Colorado School of Art and Design. After all, it is one of the places that has shown me the best thing about the arts, which is that art is all about the process. For many of us, that process usually entails sitting in a classroom and learning about the creation of art with other people. Whether it’s a painting, a sculpture, or a poem, it’s the process that makes art so interesting.
