Since it is a public building, the Arts Center of the Ozarks is located in the city of Jonesboro, Missouri. This beautiful location is perfect for those looking to visit the arts center as well as those that are just looking to see what the arts center of the Ozarks has to offer. I love the fact that the arts center of the Ozarks has such a great collection of works displayed in their facility, ranging in a variety of genres and styles.
This is one of the best arts centers I’ve ever been to. It is a public facility, so there’s no reason for anyone to be able to get in or out of the building without a special pass. There are four art galleries, a theatre, a dance studio, and a library. The artists’ studios are scattered throughout the building, and the large hallways that surround the galleries are lined with paintings and sculptures ranging in size from small to very large.
The first thing I notice about the facility is the incredible amount of art it has to offer. From the huge portrait of an old woman to the smaller paintings of flowers and landscapes, the paintings and sculptures are all beautifully created, and the facilities look like the studio they are. The main art gallery is a modernist take on the gallery format, but it is also an inviting place to visit.
The new building is the Arts Center of the Ozarks, and while I’ve never been to one of those, I’ve heard enough people mention that the building is beautiful that I figured I’d give it a shot. I was wrong. This new building is not beautiful, it’s kind of a joke. There are no paintings or sculptures lining the walls, and in fact, the building looks a little empty. There is just an enormous pile of concrete blocks.
Arts centers like this are just the sorts of places that make us want to throw up. And since people like to throw up, I dont know why they need to go to an art center.
I was in an arts center the other day and I can attest that there is no art to be seen, just a bunch of people with their legs spread apart and their faces in the clouds. There was also a small area that was pretty neat, with a sculpture of a woman with a knife. I am not sure what it is though.
