The arts, at least the arts that are artful, are always interesting and entertaining. The arts are an excellent way to show appreciation for the world’s most magnificent creations. But do you know what the arts really are? The arts that promote self-awareness are the ones that make us feel really alive.
Art, in general, is a good way to show people your respect and admiration for something. It shows your appreciation for the artist’s skill and effort. But the arts are also a way to show your appreciation for something, so you can have a little fun with it.
The only way to truly appreciate art, of course is to be able to see it. But you can also enjoy art in another way. One way that I like to enjoy the arts is to look down at the artwork, see what it looks like, and use that to help me see what the artist intended. If I can see what the artist intended with the artwork, then I can use that to help me see the intent of the artist in general.
As a musician, I can use that same method. I can see what the artist intended with the music, and I can use that to help me see what they were trying to do with the music.
It’s all about intention. Artists often use the intention of the artist to tell us how the work was created, and that’s a technique I’ve used to help me see the intent of an author in general. For example, the artist might have wanted to leave the viewer with a haunting, dark image, and the intent of the artist was to show that intention.
I could go on and on about the different artists, composers, and artists who use this method, but I think you get the idea.
The problem is though, that intention does not always work the way that we think it does. Sometimes the intention will be missed completely. I’ve seen plenty of examples of art that is totally fine, but the artist thought they were putting a message in there, and it’s just not there.
Artists that think theyre putting a message in their work can be quite a pain in the butt if they are not careful. This is because even though we want to see the message, we don’t always get a chance to see it. Sometimes the message is in the wrong place, sometimes the message is in the right place but the artist did not think about it.
It’s easy to say, “I didn’t mean to put a message in art.” But once you realize that some people just don’t think about the message they are putting in, it’s difficult to fight back. The artist is just putting their message in the wrong place and the message is not reaching its intended audience. Art is a tricky thing.
A couple of people have asked us, “How come no one is watching the message?” In a way, it’s the art itself that makes the message even harder to get across. Art is an expression of the human condition, and people often have a hard time seeing how they have a part in this. Art should tell a story, no matter how absurd it is. Artists should stop and take a moment to take a breath, and see what it is that they are trying to communicate.
