We can’t always control what we say or do, and that’s why self-awareness and meta-cognition are important. We have to know that we have control over what we do.
This was a bit of a mouthful. But the short answer is that martial arts is the practice of self-defense. There is nothing wrong with that. But in the context of martial arts, I think it is important to point out that a person with self-awareness is able to exercise a little meta-cognition. They know that fighting is a skill, and a skill can be learned.
The problem is when you don’t know how to do something. There is a difference between knowing how to do something and knowing that you can do it. The idea of self-awareness is that you can know that you can do something, but you still need to put yourself in the shoes of someone else. Which is what they really mean when they say self-awareness. When a person is self-aware, they know that they can do something.
And they do it well. The problem is that it’s not self-awareness that makes the person good at something, it’s the result of that self-awareness. A person with self-awareness will never say “I can’t do that” when they can.
Self-awareness is a great thing. It allows you to put yourself in the shoes of someone else and know how they would act. It’s a really good thing. And what makes it great is that you can take the person you’re talking to and put them in your shoes and see how they would act. And because you put yourself in their shoes, you can see how they would act.
