One of my favorite ways to teach my child is through math. I’ve found this method to be the most effective because it engages both the child and the parent. The lesson is broken up into two parts. First, I tell my child that there are multiple ways to think about a topic and then I give him a few different ways to solve a particular problem.
The lesson for me is something I call the “algebra for business” lesson, because I feel like that is the best way to teach my child math. I like to encourage my child to think about things in different ways and to solve problems in different ways. This way, my child is encouraged to think about how he could solve a problem, and I get to see that thinking. This is the most important part of the lesson because it helps my child be more creative and inventive.
