This is the first of many posts about my first business travel and what happened while I was there. This blog will detail one of the most memorable times of my life by detailing the most important moment of my life. It will be the story of a dream.
I took a job opportunity in Los Angeles, California as Vice President of Marketing and PR for a company that focuses on marketing and public relations. I’d been working out of my apartment for a few months and decided to take a two-week trip to explore the city. I’d never been to LA, so I was excited to see what the city was all about. I had no idea what I would run into, but I knew I had to try.
No, I wasn’t the only one who found out about this. I’ve worked my way up in the business world for a decade, and as you’ll see, this is one of my favorite things about the startup world right now. The company is in the middle of a very exciting new phase. When I started, we were on a tight deadline for the first time. We wanted to figure out why and how to figure that out.
It took all of seven seconds to find out that the answer was because our CEO was currently on a business trip. As you might imagine, my boss is not happy. She was on the way to dinner with her family when he called. She came into my office with tears in her eyes and explained that she and her husband were going to go to dinner with him, and while she was on the way to dinner he had called her and told her not to come back to work.
This business trip was the second time that our CEO had been on a business trip in one year, and the first time since having her son. She is now a good twenty years removed from working with him. She’s also an only child, which explains how she managed to get into the top positions in her company.
Our first business trip was in January 2013 at the office of Alexi, and it was pretty amazing. After she and Alexi were in the kitchen, we had to go into her office and talk to each other without her having to tell someone in the office who was working with Alexi. The next day she left for her husband’s job with Alexi in the hospital, and we went to his office and spoke to him.
They’re the two of us that have been working with Alexi. We’re both a bit of a mystery to Alexi, but one of the reasons that she’s so good at what she does is that she doesn’t have to explain herself too often. She doesn’t have to explain herself to people who don’t know her, because they don’t really know her. This is why she’s such a great salesperson for her company.
For the last few years, Alexi has been working in a small way at a construction company. She was hired in 2009, but it was her husband who actually brought her on board. She wasnt working on the weekends, so she had the apartment to herself. Shes a terrible cook, but shes not a terrible housekeeper, and shes a great salesman and a good person.
Alexi has worked in construction since she was 18 years old and shes been in this industry for at least the past 15 years. Shes been an apprentice, a senior apprentice, and now shes an owner. As a contractor, shes worked on some pretty expensive projects, but shes always been very proud of her work, and shes always been able to take a day or two off in between all of her projects. She also has a good work ethic.
Alexi has a lot of business travel under her belt and as a result she has a lot of experience, but she also knows how to be a great worker and a great person, so I’m sure she will make a great project owner. I also don’t think she’s too terrible a person to make a great first work-owned business traveler.
