It’s a common misconception that events such as conferences and business summits are only for the elite and privileged. In reality, these events are all about the people. For example, the people who are attending would love to know what you have to say, and what you’re doing to improve the community.
Yeah, they’re important, but these events aren’t a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, like buying a big house. The people who attend these events are looking to learn from you. They may not be able to afford to attend, but they want to learn. They want to learn how to improve their business. They want to learn how to do things better.
Ok, so maybe youre not a business owner. Maybe youve always been a janitor or a teacher or a school administrator. Maybe your job involved showing up to work everyday and not having to worry about anything. Maybe youre a single employee who just wants to make a living or a family business. Maybe youre part of a team of employees who are all trying to do the best they can. Maybe youre just an average gal looking to make a living.
Businesses can be hard to get to. Thats because the people who run them have their own ideas about what they should be doing. Many of them want to do things that are less stressful than being a business owner. They want to do things that are fun and exciting and cool. This is why when they open a business for the first time they don’t ask how you feel about spending your weekends and nights.
Many of the people who are running businesses are not business people at all. They are more like executives who are looking to gain a competitive advantage by doing things that they believe others will find more stressful or boring. So they set up a business to do things that others would find even more stressful or boring but you cant control.
The thing is, what you can control is how you do the things you do. If you follow the business plan and are the most efficient at doing the tasks you are supposed to, then you are doing the best possible thing for your business.
Another interesting fact to note is that the business plan that canada (or any other “business plan”) is worthless if you don’t have a way to measure or prove its success. This is even more true if you are doing it as a hobby.
The thing about business events in Canada is that you do not need to be in a business to be successful. It is also true that you need to be able to show results to be successful in business. You cant say that you want to be a successful business man unless you can show something really tangible to back it up.
You need to sell a product or service, you need to convince people that the product or service is valuable, and you need to convince other people that you can have a large impact on their lives or business. If you cannot show that you can deliver on these three things, then you will fail at any business event.
In any event, I think you will not learn if you are more interesting or more interesting in business. If you learn that you don’t have to be the best at business to help others, then you will either have to learn to be a better human being or you will have to learn that your job is to sell products and services in more ways than one.
