This was the first of our arts and crafts picture frame. It was a fun little thing I made for my brother-in-law when I was having a hard time keeping my head straight.

This one is another example of an Arts and Crafts picture frame. I’ve always wanted to make a picture frame, but never had the time. The above is one I made when my wife was away with the kids for a weekend.
I’ve always been a bit obsessed with art and crafts (and I’m proud of that), and I’ve been doing it for many years now. In fact, I’ve been doing it for probably a decade or more. I’ve always been a bit of an “art” person and art was always on my mind. But until recently, when I felt like I was just “caught up in the moment” of something, I never really got excited about it.
And you know what really got me excited? A great art piece. When I was younger I remember I was able to draw a picture and paint it in the mirror, and I always felt I had a special talent and that I could do other things that I just knew could be done. So many people are like me though, and its hard for them to understand that they are not special. They think because they see something beautiful on a blank canvas, they can do it too.
I still feel like I’m a special person, but my art skills are so low that I can only ever really create art that I know is not going to impress anyone. That’s the problem with being an artist. Most of us have to start out as a mere amateur and we end up with mediocre art. It seems to be a lot more common for people to say that they love something they did years ago when they didn’t have time to do better.
I think most people can relate to this. I think a lot of people who are very talented and are in the arts are very creative, but they spend so much of their time getting work done that they forget to create something that is special.
I think that a lot of artists don’t realize how long it can take to create something that is unique because they are not actually working on it. I think that is pretty common. When I first started going to art school and my teacher started to tell the class about stuff I had created and had forgotten, I was like, “Awww, I thought I would have time to do this.
