The word “magi” comes from the Japanese word for warrior, and the term karate, or “karate”, translates to “manly” or “manly ways”. It’s a combination of the two, and it refers to the way we train our mind. It’s like a martial arts where you learn how to think about how to be a man. This is what we do every day, and although we don’t often think of it, it’s a way of thinking.
Its like most other martial arts where it involves a lot of movement. You move your body to the position that makes you feel best and then you focus on that position for awhile. You don’t really think about it. But you do your best.

It is all about what is needed to be effective. When you can get your body and your mind to move as a coherent unit, you can move, move, move. You can move so fast that you can take out a target in a matter of seconds.
But most martial arts are not so fast. There is no way you can move so fast without also moving your body and your mind. In fact, most martial arts are so slow that they are almost always not effective. One form of martial arts that is quite effective is calligraphy. A form of calligraphy that is also used by monks and monks are called “monk calligraphy” because monks are always doing it.
The Chinese martial art of calligraphy is actually not that slow. It is just slow enough that it doesn’t seem to be an effective way to move in a fight. And yet, monks are an effective form of unarmed combat because they are using their hand to fight with and not their arms. But monks are not called monk calligraphy because monks are not monks.
There are some things that a calligrapher can do for you that a martial artist cannot. A calligrapher can, for instance, create a different type of calligraphy for a given subject. A monk, however, cannot create a different type of calligraphy for a given subject because monks are monks.
