I have been a part of a village of arts for nearly two decades. As an artist, designer, and writer, I have been able to live a life where I can be creative, make a living from my art, and see the world through the eyes of someone who has the same goals.
The fact that you can see the world through the eyes of someone who has the same goals, as a designer, and as an artist, is very unique. While it sure would be nice to have something like that in every village I lived in, I can’t see anyone I know of who has that.
This seems to me like a great idea. I bet if you have someone who is a writer as well, or an artist, or both, then you can get people to feel that they are part of that community. It sounds like a great way to bring people together with the world’s best artists, designers, and writers.
I think it would be a great idea indeed, but I’m not sure if I would be willing to be part of a village that has three parts: artists, writers, and designers. A village that also includes a mayor. A village that also has a mayor. A village that also has a mayor. And, finally, a village that also has a mayor.

The problem is that many of us have no clue about what we want to do with our lives, and so we settle for the less-than-ideal job while trying our best to avoid the stigma of having a bad attitude. It would be so great to be able to join a creative community where we could just sit back and work and create things we love. This is the dream of many artists and writers I know, but unfortunately it’s not so simple to do.
