Art, as we know it, is the production of objects which are designed to express ideas and feelings.
Craft is the process of producing objects that are designed to express ideas and feelings.
We use the word “Craft” to describe many things in our lives, from building things to making them. We know what a craft kit is, we know what a lathe is, we know what the word “blender” means, etc. You might think of these as the same thing, but in reality, they are actually very different.
Craft is an umbrella term for many different things, but for the most part, they are all categorized as crafts. Art, on the other hand, is the production of objects which are designed to express ideas and feelings. And as we know, the production of the Arts is usually done by artists who use different tools and different techniques.
A lathe is a tool used to make a cutting board, a saw, a hammer, a drill, and other smaller tools, while a blender is a tool used to blend things together, like butter. A lathe is a tool used to make a cutting board, and a blender is a tool used to blend things together, like butter.
I’m going to use a word which I think is a bit more generic than the other two: “object”. An object is a physical thing which doesn’t have to be a physical thing, like a tree or a person. An object is something that’s created or made by another person or some other means. A wooden cutting board is an object, and a blender is an object too, but I’m focusing on objects in this article.
The first definition is a bit more specific, in that it describes something you use and the second definition describes something you use in addition to something else, which are the two parts of the object.
Objects are things you use either in your home or outside your home. They are not specific places in your home. This is something you use, and something else is something else. Objects are not something you do.
An object is any object, including the ones we have discussed. It could be a blender, a blender brush, a blender pen, a blender pencil, etc. It could be a hammer, a hammer brush, a hammer pen, a hammer pencil, etc. The first definition is what you use when you use a blender. The second definition is what you use in addition to the blender.
But wait, it gets better. Objects are NOT the same as what we see on a television, a movie, or the internet. That’s not all that great either. Sometimes objects will have different meanings altogether.
