cr s crafts is a site I like to check out and see what other people are creating. Although cr s crafts isn’t as active as I’d like it to be, there are some really creative and inspiring works of art that deserve a second look.
I’m not sure how the term “crafts” came into existence (I think it was when my friend was telling me about the awesome new website he was working on) but there are a lot of different things that make up a “craft” and they can include things as simple as a craft basket. A piece of paper with a pattern printed on it can be a craft too. A wooden bowl can also be a craft. A piece of leather can be a craft.
I think the creativity lies in the combination of a wide variety of materials, each of which has its own inherent qualities or capabilities. The most common is found with materials such as metal and wood. In this case it means the quality of the materials the craft is made of.
When a craft is produced using multiple materials, it’s more likely that you’ll find new and interesting combinations within the same craft. That’s why I enjoy the hobby of making things from different materials. That way I can combine a few different materials into something unique. For example, one of my favorite craft projects is a pair of metal earrings made from a small chunk of scrap metal. The metal is cut and soldered into the metal earring at the same time.
