I would think that this would be the most popular subject in the history of martial arts, but I’m not sure about that. I know I’ve read so many opinions and articles that this is the best way to apply martial arts to your life.

For that you need to learn fighting techniques, but a person without martial arts knowledge is unable to defend themselves.

But because it is so easy to “fail” at martial arts, it is often used by people who have no knowledge of it. People who have no martial arts knowledge can learn self-defense techniques by watching how their friends defend themselves, or by simply practicing them.
