Last year, when I was asked to lead a workshop at lincoln park performing arts center, my mind and heart were on the spot. My experience with this nonprofit organization was invaluable in helping me to develop a new perspective on the area, and I can confidently say that the event is one of the best things happening in my neighborhood for the next few years.
I know you may feel like I’m going on and on about everything, but I do want to make it clear that what you’re seeing is a reflection of the work that’s going on in the community, right? I am a former lincoln park resident, and this is the place where I volunteered last year when I helped lead this workshop, so it’s my personal experience.
So you can see a big difference in the way the arts center is used. When I was volunteering there, the arts center was pretty much used for events and dances, and what I was seeing there were the volunteers putting on performances and presentations during the community events. Now it’s just a place for community events and dances, and they’ve added some awesome new features which make it feel like youre seeing an extended community.
Its great because it means more people are coming. Its also great because the new features are things I’ve been trying to get done for years, but I’ve forgotten how to do them and was surprised to see they had been done.
So much of the community centers Ive been to felt like public pools where the only people who actually paid for the experience were the volunteers, and that was fine, but theyve added some other fun stuff like the kids’ climbing wall and the ping pong table. The ping pong table was the most interesting part of the pool, but I’ve always been a big fan of the climbing wall, so that was fun.
The climbing wall is pretty fun. You can do a couple of runs up it on consecutive days and see if you can summit the top of the wall one day and fall off. It also has a little mini-golf course. The kids love it too because it’s pretty easy to get the hang of it.
I think that the kids climbing feature is really cool. They have been doing it for a long time now. You can do it one day and see if you can do the second run the next day. The kids have been doing it for years now and it’s always been fun. The ping pong table is interesting because you can go to it and have fun with your friends, but also do something really fun. The kids love it.
The park has been growing for years now. I’m sure there are more than a few parents who are thinking, “I wish I could find my kids there.” This is because it seems to be the only place in the area that has a performing arts center (or anything that has that look). It seems to be a popular place for families. I remember my kids going there when they were younger.
I’ve been talking to a few parents who have kids going to lincoln park for years. It’s the perfect location for them. You can go there and have fun. Then, you can go to the park to have fun and see your kids dancing, or you can go to the park so your kids can have fun and see you dancing.
