I feel like these are all things that are important to me, and I really feel that it is my responsibility to bring these to you. I want to inspire you to think about and work with these as much as I can. This is all about creating a life that is in alignment with your values. The key to doing this is that you want to make a life that is not only your own, but a life that you would want to share with those around you.
This is an important lesson I learned this week when I attended the Fall River Arts Academy. I was asked to show my portfolio to a group of artists who were interested in creating works for the academy. During the session, I was told that they wanted me to paint “a painting that made you want to be a painter.
The truth is, I have had an artist in mind for a while. Since I was a kid, I have always loved to paint. I went to college in California where I was influenced by the art scene there. I also went to a private college in Maine where the art faculty was really into the art. My goal is to make art that makes people want to paint. This is why I started an art program and then decided that I could teach.

Fall river arts academy is an excellent introduction to digital painting. The level of skill required is much higher than other painting classes I know, so the classes are designed for those who already have the basic skills for digital painting. The Intermediate level is designed as a way to expand on those skills, while the Advanced level is designed to give more complex techniques a try.
