I love the fact that we are all supposed to be self-aware people, but there are a lot of people who don’t. The fact that they don’t want to be in an online class or a community group, or who don’t think they’re going to be able to learn in the classroom or a class, makes me wish that someone would take the time to teach them.
We’re not saying you should give this class a shot, or that you should try to get into the business school you’ve always wanted to go to. But, if you are interested in learning how to be a good person even if you arent in college, please do. And if you are wondering why we are writing these lines, this is because we are trying to start a discussion about self-awareness.
Self-awareness is the ability to take in what we see in our own lives, and to recognize and understand how our actions have resulted in the way we are. We are social animals, and we like to form groups and make decisions that will benefit everyone. People who aren’t aware of this, or don’t even know, tend to act in ways that do not benefit them.
Yes! This is a very good point. When we are unaware of the actions we take, we tend to react. So when I say, “Butler business school?” I am thinking of the business school for “butler” (the family, the servants, the workers, the servants, the ones who have to do all the chores, and then the ones who just sit on a couch and watch tv all day).
