The University of Central Louisiana is hosting a business analytics workshop for ucla students. We have a presentation on the ucla business analysis and the ucla business analytics program.
We’re taking this opportunity to add a new topic to our business analytics workshop. The topic is “creating your own custom business analytics data.” Basically, this is all about creating your own custom data that is customized for your business. We’ll have more details on this in the coming weeks.
What’s a custom data? Well, it’s more a business data and is the result of combining a bunch of data points into one.
I mean, you would use the same data points to build your business analytics on the data you’re using to create your business analytics.
You’ll take the data you collect via your website and put it into a spreadsheet. You put the data points from your website into the spreadsheet. You can then sort the data by any number of factors, and then you can see the differences.
But, as much as we love data, it has some issues, like the one that may lead to a business meltdown. You can’t look at your data all the time. You have to look at it as often as you need to. It takes a lot of time. For example, if you want to analyze your website traffic, you have to regularly go through the data. If you don’t, you never get much done. It takes time and energy.
ucla is a small, high-tech company that specializes in business analytics. They have a fairly new business analytics software package, but it doesnt come with much customization. Of course, we use to have it all custom built for our website, but we have also gotten a license of ucla’s business analytics software for free. We can access the data we need, sort, analyze and compare it with others on the same day.
It can be pretty overwhelming to figure out what information you need to know and how many other companies are out there. ucla has a fairly new business analytics software package, but it doesnt come with any data customization.
The data we need to determine if we should pursue other businesses to make our website better remains pretty basic. We need to know what types of visitors we’re getting from each site (how many) and what pages (what are they doing there?) are getting the most traffic. But uclas is more customizable, and we can add additional information to it. It also has a nice UI that allows us to easily add tags and the ability to pull up our analytics and create dashboards.
One of the coolest features of ucla is that it integrates with WordPress. We can set up our site to not only track how many people were getting from our site but also look at what pages they were visiting, so we can see if we’re getting more traffic from any one page. It’s also a great way to see if we’re seeing more traffic or more pages on our site.
