This week was all about being crafty. We painted our kitchen, picked up some new home decor, and then made some fun crafts.
I’ve got a few craft projects I want to share with you so if you’re on the fence about what to do, I recommend starting with #1. A lot of the crafts we did were quick and easy. For the kitchen, we made a mini-marathon with our new paint and tile. For the tile, we used a round paint brush to make a border around the tub and sink, then painted a border along the baseboards.
The next thing I want to talk about is paint brushes. I have a few different brands I use at different times of the day, and I think I’m going to start with this one. When I was a kid, I always wanted a paintbrush. My mother gave me one about the time I was born, and I’ve never gotten around to getting it back.
Yeah, I know. Your mother gave you a paintbrush? I had the pleasure of talking with her yesterday, and she told me that she saved it from being thrown out at a thrift store.
I am definitely going to have to start taking this brush into the store I work at, or I’ll probably end up buying a new one. The brush has been my favorite paintbrush my entire life, and I’m so glad to have it back.
I think your mother gave you a paintbrush that you used a lot, and that you kept it for a long time, but it got to be quite a mess.
One thing I was told by a painter friend who was in the middle of a conversation about the paint brush is that it was a really long time ago that you saved the paintbrush. I can still remember it from when I was a kid and the brush was a big part of my life. I used to use the brush to finish my art projects too, so I’m sure the brush that I use now has some very long-term storage purpose.
Artists who paint for a living and create art on a regular basis are typically either very meticulous and meticulous with their tools, or very casual with their tools. We, at the BCS, are more of a middle ground, with our tools being really loose and not necessarily very precise when it comes to paintbrushes. For example, we keep our paintbrushes in our backpacks and have them in our regular office.
I think artists are very lucky to have tools that don’t get messy and don’t get in the way of their work. The tools that we use are so loose and loose that they end up getting in the way of our art, and on the flip side they’re not as often used, and therefore they end up getting in the way of our art.
So far Ive only used one hand brush and one bottle of paint, which is something I would say is pretty standard. We have a separate brush and paint set for every project we do. We have three brushes for painting with a very fine brush, a very coarse brush, and a medium brush. The reason that I am so strict about the amount of brushes I use when I say that is because in the beginning I did not know how to use the extra brushes.
